Psssttt..........T'is I Edward Lovemonkey reporting from deep within West Africa!!!
As many of my dear readers know this trip to Africa meant the start of the search for my ancestors, my brothers, my kind. This search has taken me so far to Freetown......then Freetown....oh and then Freetown! I don't get out much at the moment, I blame those pesky Harmattan winds, I mean who wants all that dust stuck to your fur! Even my best buddy Zippy has endured a bath! First one since he stopped wearing flared trousers apparently, and they call me a filthy monkey!!! I digress, to be honest the search began at River Beach number 2 just before Christmas where I went with my new best mate from India, Surya.
Sadly this time I was the only monkey in town!

My search took me to Lakka Beach which is South of Lumley.......on me tod again!!!! Monkeys? Wala.....
TACUGAMA..........Home of my brothers!
Last Sunday a close friend of Mum's came out to Sierra Leone to conclude her work here....it was suggested that we visit TACUGAMA Chimpanzee Sanctuary as a special treat. GUESS WHAT WE FOUND??????? Chimps, CHIMPS, CHIMPS everywhere!!!!
I'm too excited to talk! More later! ED xxx
